TRADITIONAL LATIN MASS
Traditional Latin Mass (2:00pm) Holy Days of Obligation
& Observed Feast Day
- Tuesday, August 15th – Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
- Friday, September 29th – Feast of St. Michael
- Wednesday November 1st – All Saints Day
- Thursday, November 2nd – All Souls Day ( there will be three (3) consecutive Masses starting at 2pm)
- Friday, December 8th – Immaculate Conception
- Monday, December 25th – Christmas Day (there is no Vigil or midnight Mass in Latin)
This is the only approved Latin Mass in the Diocese (regardless of what other non-Catholic parishes may say)
- The Homily is in English; the Epistle and Gospel are also done in Latin and English (announcements are English & Spanish)
- A handout is given each week that has the Mass Propers translated into both English and Spanish
- Music is Gregorian Chant, sacred polyphony, and sometimes appropriate seasonal hymns
- The Mass, when sung, is normally 60-70 minutes
- Ushers will be available to assist and answer questions
